This large main contractor is one of the UK`s leading support services and construction companies, employing over 50,000 people. The vacancy for a Senior Building Services Manager has arisen, to work on their upcoming prestigious contracts throughout the region.
They have a portfolio of award-winning work in areas vital to society: health, education and regeneration, road, rail, defence and commercial property. From first concept to ongoing facilities management and support services, they provide high quality, cost effective and sustainable solutions, tailored to the needs of their customers.
The role will initially be primarily focused towards the prestigious Lumiere project in Leeds city centre that will begin construction in September this year and completed in 2011. Other projects that will be worked on are Concept House, Leeds and other residential, commercial and education projects throughout the region.
It will be the Senior Building Services Manager`s responsibility to oversee Site Managers and Directors and deal with 2 to 3 Sub-contractors. They are wanted to be involved in the design process, helping to manage it from stage C through to completion, aiding the tendering process and selecting the right Sub-contractors to perform the job.
The role will be to work underneath the Principle Building Services Manager within a team of eventually 5 members of staff. Their is room for progression within this small team and within the company as a whole, which operates both nationally and internationally.
